OUR NEW "THE BEST OF E'TOWN'S THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES" PHOTO SERIES...

With the somber news of Old Bridge Township Raceway Park ceasing all drag racing related operations, I've decided to start a new feature here on the blog titled THE BEST OF E'TOWN'S THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES photo series. This series will highlight choice video images and still photographs we've captured at E'Town over the decades. We'll execute this feature with a sense of grace and gratitude for all the good years and memories we've accumulated over time at the track... Today's very first installment of this series features a photo from the 2016 running of the OLD TIME DRAGS event. Crew guy Keith Soden and driver Jim Slovak are seen with yours truly, standing next to Jim's circa 1966 "Potential H-Bomb" front engine dragster. The car has a potent Chevy 396 stuffed between the frame rails, and has a reputation as being one of the toughest diggers to beat among the regional "Backseat Drivers" contingent. It's certainly one of my favorite dragsters here in the northeast. It's also worth noting that in this photo you see me holding a copy of the original Big Stick "Drag Racing" 7 inch single vinyl record that was released back in 1986. Both John Gill and I gladly signed the record for the Potential H-Bomb team. And I guess it's also worth noting that all these years later, Big Stick will be releasing a new album in the Spring of 2018, and yes, it will be available on vinyl... Be sure to  stay tuned right here on this page for many more installments of THE BEST OF E'TOWN'S THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES photo series...
