Today is "FEEDBACK FRIDAY", meaning I deal with emails that my assistant Stephanie and I receive from readers regarding our most recent blogs... Let's get right to your feedback... Yesterday's blog urging the folks who administrate the nation's railway lines to install mechanisms that slow down and stop runaway trains prompted many of you, especially those of you who commute by train to write. Helen from Bentleyville, PA said, "I lost my brother in the Philadelphia derailment in 2015. Doc's words of wisdom need to be heard and initiated."-- Mario from Englewood, NJ wrote, "I saw the aftermath of the Hoboken train crash. The updated safety mechanisms must be installed on all railways."... Wednesday's TALES OF THE PHANTOM RACER serial series resulted in lots of you writing in. Kristel from all the way in Guayaquil, Ecuador said, "I am so glad that the serial series is back after its temporary suspension. I don't know how I would get through Wednesday mornings without reading the Phantom Racer!"-- Theodore from Casco, MI wrote, "I think the return of the series was too sappy. Please don't cave in to the pressure from the readers who complain when the story gets rough around the edges. I have no problems with Larry Lamb paying the Christmas bribe. What's the big deal?"-- Once again Gary from Wellington, OH wrote in, "I hope Fred The Wrench keeps his new year's resolution and builds a period correct '64 Dodge stocker!"-- Thanks to all of you Phantom Racer fans who wrote in this week... My blog encouraging people to get out to the drags more in 2017 caused Bryon from Greenport NY to chime in, "The photo Doc posted of Dave Sano's Challenger Funny Car was enough of an incentive to make me want to go to Raceway Park more in 2017!"... My blog urging readers to be smart on New Year's Eve, because we're all just human and not invincible caused Sonny from Kenl, NC to write a lengthy emotional letter, here's a small excerpt, "Doc's blog may have saved my life on New Year's Eve. It kept me from getting in a car with a drunk friend of a friend who later got in a wreck. Thank God for Doc!"... Thanks to all of you who wrote in with comments. Even though there's no way we have room to print all your emails, we want you to know that all your comments and suggestions are taken into consideration... Keep those emails comin' (by using the "Contact Us" link atop the page), whether you agree or disagree with mine, or any of our substitute guest bloggers' opinions, we're genuinely interested in your feedback... We just ask that you please keep your emails short and to the point, no rambling please, and please also include where you're from, we often find the location of where folks are writing us from to be sort of interesting. If you want to remain anonymous you can do that too (just write that you want to remain anonymous in the body of your email, and we won't disclose your identity in the event we choose to make a reference to your particular opinion)... Thanks...
